Nestled in the heart of the American West, Yellowstone National Park stands as an iconic testament to the power and magnificence of nature. As the first national park in the United States and widely regarded as the first in the world, Yellowstone holds a unique place in history.
All of our designs at Rocky Mountain Dog are inspired by amazing landscapes and National Parks making Yellowstone an easy choice to inspire our newest design. We are also a Calgary based company and the history of Yellowstone as one of the first settlements for cattle also speaks near and dear to our hearts.

We have incorporated many of the highlights of the park in our design such as the geysers, wildlife, the arches welcoming people to the park and a cowboy with their cattle dog. Here's some of the reasons why we chose Yellowstone as our next design.
1. The Birth of a National Treasure:
In 1872, President Ulysses S. Grant signed the Yellowstone National Park Protection Act, establishing Yellowstone as the world's first national park. This landmark decision was the culmination of efforts to preserve the park's unparalleled geothermal wonders, pristine landscapes, and abundant wildlife for future generations.

Long before the arrival of European settlers, the area now known as Yellowstone was inhabited by Native American tribes, including the Shoshone, Crow, and Blackfeet.
