Backed this on Kickstarter basically within seconds of seeing the email, and I'm glad I did!
Verdict: I love it! My dog has a skinny neck/waist but a deep-ish chest, so the multiple adjustment options help fine tune the fit for dogs like mine. The pouches on the medium are very generous and could likely hold 5-6 days of food for my 50lb dog if needed. The smaller pockets are perfect for little things like a tick key, vet wrap, extra bags and boots, etc. Removing/attaching the bag takes a bit of fiddling, but that's a very fair tradeoff for how stable it is on the dog once fully attached. I haven't used the harness yet, but holding it and putting it on, it feels rock solid (like everything RMD makes).
Really enjoying the pack and harness so far! Had it out for a few day trips and fits well. Harness is lightweight and dries quickly. Only thing I find a bit finicky is getting the harness straps through the loops at the bottom of the bags while it’s on my pup. But once it’s done up, it keeps the bag in place really well.
The service from them is stellar, when I made my purchase I had accidentally chosen the wrong size, they fixed the order before shipping. The quality and functionality of the removable bag is wonderful, sturdy and stays in place. (The bag needs to be weight balanced for best performance, as with any dog back pack). The position of the buckles and straps mean they don’t rub our blue heeler in the wrong spots, while still maintaining a fitted, sturdy and full freedom of movement harness. Absolutely love it, highly recommend.

Hank loves his new backpack and walks so proudly when he has it on. We purchased a backpack for him to challenge him more on leash walks since he is a working breed. It does the trick, he walks perfectly when it's on and he is mentally exhausted afterwards. Giving him a job made a big difference for this pooch.

Product looks great and feels extremely durable. We haven't had the chance to try it out on our pup yet but I'm certain it'll be exactly what we need. The various pockets are great for organizing and I love the large reflecting material on the sides. With the storage pocket features here and our own packs, we probably won't need to clip anything extra on to the harness (except maybe her collapsible water bowl) but the option to be able to is also a nice touch.

I purchased the XL dog backpack for my 90lbs pup and it fits great! There is still room to expand which is great cause he is only 8 months and growing! It has a light and airy fabric great for breathability and the bags have tons of room! I will be using it tons this summer so hoping it stands the test of time as well! So far I'm happy with my purchase!

No complaints! Lots of pockets to hold stuff in, super high quality material and stitching, I also like how when you strap it on to the dog there is a loop on the saddle bags that you thread the bucks through to keep the bags from flopping around while the dog moves around

Super quality. Measurements were accurate to the sizes. My AussieXBorder fit into a medium. It’s durable and washable and has a lot of space. Too bad it didn’t come with little bladders...otherwise really good product, super impressed! Love how the pack can unclip and just be a harness for those shorter days. Color is bright! And dog was able to run normally with everything on so seems comfortable as well.

Great purchase! The harness and backpack are very good quality, and the backpack has ample room for our day hiking needs. I was able to adjust the system to fit my dog perfectly, and he had no issues getting comfortable with packing supplies.

I love this backpack! It detached from the harness very easily but only when you want it to. The harness alone is great for walks. It’s very well made and has some larger pockets and some smaller ones. My only wish would be to be for Rocky Mountain Dog to make a bladder that would fit in a large pocket.
The harness is great on its own. Fits my big dog really well. The back pack portion is easy to take on and off to clean, and fill. The colour is super bright which we love as he is now easy to spot! We will be ordering more products from this company.
This backpack is built awesome, its built in such a smart way, love the capability to take the bag off and just use the harness!
