Design Inspiration 

Canmore is the mountain town nestled on the doorsteps of Banff and the gateway to Kananaskis, Alberta's Rocky Mountain provincial park. Established in 1884, the town was built on coal mining and is now a tourist and mountain adventure destination for outdoor enthusiasts around the world.

Rising proudly against the clear blue skies, the Three Sisters command attention with their rugged granite faces and snow-capped peaks. Located in Canmore, Alberta they are Comprised of three distinct peaks—Big Sister, Middle Sister, and Little Sister—each one possesses its own unique character and allure. Together, they create a picturesque panorama that is a feast for the eyes.

Legend has it of the Îyârhe Nakoda (Stoney) the name refers to a story of Ĩ-ktomnĩ, the old man or trickster, who would promise 'three sisters' in marriage whenever he was in trouble. There is also a wolf howling at a crescent moon. 

The leash comes in two colour styles, Sunrise with colours of blue, pink and yellow, and Northern Lights with blacks and greens in the sky.

 About the Artist

Jean McAllister designed this graphic for our Great Outdoor Isolation hoodie. A talented graphic designer, she knows what's it like to isolate in the Mountains living in Canmore, Alberta. She is also the designer of the Rocky Mountain collection of RMD dog gear that will debut in May 2020.
