K9 Sport Sack® Air 2 Backpack

The backpack is proving to be fun for our pooch! We are working on getting in and out but walks are very much enjoyable so far!

This pack has given my rescue dog a sense of adventure. He is 9 and loves his pack, he pulls it off the wall to get in it. The pack is comfortable and easy to get on and off with your pooch in it.

The backpack came quickly and I was a little worried that it might be too small for our dog but went by the measurement from collar to base of tail. Henry fit in the bag ok and seems fairly content sitting for a while before he starts flopping to the left or right. I like the padded straps but don't like the position of the cross strap which is about even with my collarbone and leaves me holding the strap to make sure it doesn't slide up and choke me. I think it should cross much lower but maybe that wouldn't give enough support to the dog in the back?

Seems nice, but I haven’t really tried it yet, other than putting my dog in it. He actually didn’t seem to mind :blush:

I have wanted a backpack solution for a while and was having a hard time finding one that faced my dog in the same direction as me and was comfortable for him. My dog has little legs and loves to adventure but his stamina just doesn't allow for long hikes. This is the perfect solution to go for long walks or hikes. He can go from walking to being on my back within seconds. I can wear the backpack for my waterbottle and when he needs a break, it slips on like I'm putting a harness on and bam he's now ready and on my back with his paws resting on my shoulder. The measurements were accurate for my dog and although it took him a couple shorter trial walks to get used to it, he now likes it and just enjoys the free ride. I highly reccomend the product and although other sellers have this brand too, I found the experience here really solid with fast shipping, compatible prices and a nice personal touch in the package.

Is it possible to get one with a strap around my waist? I don't feel it is secure enough.

Love this pack! It is easy to use and light weight.

This was such a great purchase! My little Havanese can’t hike as far as we can, so this will allow her to ride when she gets tired, or when we are on rougher terrains. It’s perfect!! It was fast and easy to put her in it and she was really happy to be up at my shoulders where I could talk to her. I love knowing she is safe and secure when I need her to be.

Le small est parfait pour mon Min-pin de 11 lbs. Il est important de suivre les instructions pour insérer votre chien dans le sac.

Bought at beginning of September; quality of materials is very good and what I was led to expect.

You really need a second person to help get the dog into the backpack, even with a smaller dog (my dog is maybe 14 lbs). I don't typically have that option.

I think the backpack could use a second 'stabilizing strap' around the person's waist. The stabilizing strap around the chest does not hold the backpack in place and the weight of the dog tends to swing from side to side.

I have yet to try the backpack on a bicycle as I'm a little worried about the weight on my back moving as I'm bent over the bicycle.

There is no room for my puppy to sit. I measured him multiple times to make sure I had it right. Also one of the straps was incorrectly and poorly sewn. I have returned it

This arrived very fast and was perfect. The site made it easy to figure out what I needed for my doggos size and 10 minutes in she passed out in it. 10/10 recommend!

I measured my dog twice (16" length back) and I had doubts about the size that was recommended but I trusted the chart. I should not have. There's absolutely no way my 25-lb dog would fit in the small. I'm tempted to re-order medium but I'm just not sure it would fit either. On the K9 Sport Sack site it says that this bag is "For Dogs Ranging 4-30 lbs (2-13 kgs)" and if that's the case, my dog should probably be in a Large, but a Large is "20-23 inches" and he's 16. So maybe he needs a large and a booster block, but the variables make it too uncertain to keep reordering + paying for returns, hoping something fits.

HOWEVER, in saying all of that, the bag looks awesome, appears to be great quality, and would likely work super well for a smaller dog. my boy is just too big for this one and it is disappointing cos now I have to pay to ship it back.

My little doggo loves this pack (and so do I)! It’s ultra light and very comfortable, and my dog is secure and doesn’t overheat. I got XS for an 8lb chihuahua and it’s a perfect fit. Highly recommend!

The bag seems fine, but hard to tell because i didn't get to use it. Measured my dog a few times to make sure it was right, then ordered the Medium as indicated and it was sooo tiny. I think he actually needs an extra large. And even though they gave me incorrect information, per their policy, I have to pay to ship it back to get one that is the proper size. Pretty annoying.
